I LOVE this cafe. During my week stay in CDMX, I basically would live here in the mornings doing my daily ritual of coffee and a small breakfast before heading out to explore the city. If you’re looking for an internet cafe, this place is perfect. They have high speed wifi, plenty of seating, and a bathroom that is much cleaner compared to other public restrooms in Mexico City. Most importantly for me, it feels nice to be here, the energy and decor feels very good and inspiring. An excellent place to do some journaling, writing, etc. CDMX is not cheap, but Cafe Emir is reasonably priced, especially for a spot technically connected to a luxury hotel. Everything I have tried has been good, but the hot kiwi tea and pizza pan pita were especially yummy to me! You can eat the leftover kiwi in the hot tea as a small treat too—super good! I’ve only had their lattes related to coffee, and they use the DaVinci brand as their flavoring, which is just enough sweet to balance out the bitter bean flavor. Other reviews have said the staff are rude or unkind—this has not been the case for me. I speak barely any Spanish and am wanting to learn, and the morning staff especially have been very kind and willing to help me when I ask what something means or am confused. Lastly, it is located pretty center to everything going on in Centro, so random things will happen close by— a very sweet organillera stopped to play one evening I was there and really made my night!

The lattes are 7/10. I wish they opened a little earlier. The venue itself is excellent. Baristas aren’t mean or rude but you can tell they don’t enjoy their jobs. I would come back bc of the convenience and how quiet it is but it’s tough when it doesn’t open until 9 am.
